Registration for Summer Recreation Programs begins May 3, 2023

Prior to clicking on the registration link (which will be available May 3rd), we recommend that you read all the information on this page and view or print the 2023 Summer Program Guide.  This will make it easier to find the programs that you want to register for, be sure that you register for the correct dates, you know what the fees are and what the refund policy is.

- Registration for all programs is taken on a first come, first served basis.

- Participants may choose to be put on a wait list if a program or lesson is full.
- Any programs and lessons that do not meet minimum enrollment will be cancelled. If a program or lesson is cancelled by City staff, participants may transfer to another program, receive a credit toward a different Nevada City Parks & Recreation program or receive a refund (minus the registration fee).
- All registrations require payment. No spaces will be held without payment.
- Online registration generally closes one week prior to the start of any program. If you wish to register for a program after the online registration has closed, you will need to come to the swimming pool during business hours.
- No registrations will be taken for swim lessons once that session has started, unless City staff add participants from the
waiting list.

Refund Procedure for Summer Programs

- Full refunds of program fees will be provided if the City cancels a class or program.
- Partial refunds (90% of program fee) will be given if participants request the refund at least 5 business days prior to the first day of the class or program, unless otherwise noted in the program description. Failure to attend a program, “no shows”, or requests made after the program has ended will not be granted a refund. - There are no prorated fees, refunds, or make-up days for missed days.
- Requests for refunds can be submitted via phone, email, walk-in or mail. A Refund Request Form must be completed to process any refunds.
- Refunds by check are typically processed within 30 business days. Refunds by credit card are typically processed within 5 business days.
- No refunds are given on Season Passes, punch cards, or drop-in admission fees.
- Refunds are only processed for City program fees. Registration fees/credit card processing fees are not refunded.
 
Registration Program
The City uses ActiveNet to process program registrations. There are two options that Active will offer during your registration process and check out. These are both optional, so click carefully. Click here for more information about this. 

How to Register for Programs - Registration will begin May 3, 2023
You have 3 options for registering.
1. Register online.   This will require a credit or debit card.  
2. Come to one of the registration nights. If you have questions or do not have internet access, this is a great option for you. In-person registration takes place from 5:30-8:30p on May 3 & 15 at the Nevada City Swimming Pool.
3. Register at the swimming pool during hours that we are open to the public. The best time is during Public Swim.  See hours in the 2023 Summer Program Guide.
