Election 2020
The City of Nevada City Municipal Elections are held in March of even-numbered years. Other special elections may be called from time to time by the City Council. City Council Members are unpaid volunteer positions and are elected at large for a four-year term. The City Council serves staggered terms, i.e., two or three seats are open each election cycle. The City Clerk and City Treasurer Positions are paid seats ($1,200/year Stipend)

Cost:  Optional $131.33 to file a Candidate Statement of Qualifications

Signatures Needed:  
Minimum of 20 (30 Maximum) verified registered voters in Incorporated City Boundaries 

Nomination papers to seek office are available now for the March 3, 2020 election at City Hall (317 Broad Street, Nevada City).
