Active Network Information
Active Network is the online program that the City utilizes to process our online registrations.  Following is information about special offers that you will see when registering for our programs.  These are purchases that you make from Active Network and are not City programs or transactions.

There are 2 offers that appear during the registration.  
  1. Booking Protect:  You will see this at checkout.
  2. ACTIVE Advantage:  You will see this after your sale of City programs is complete.
These programs are optional purchases.
Below is an explanation of these offers. 
What is Booking Protect?
Booking Protect is a partnership with ACTIVE created in the fall of 2017.  This partnership was created to help cover the financial cost for refunds for customers. If parents purchase a policy with Booking Protect, and for some reason they can’t make the class/program due to illness, travel hiccups or other Booking Protect approved reasons, they would file for a refund from Booking Protect.  Booking Protect, then would refund the client on the City's behalf. 
Where is this offered?  This offer appears during checkout and is optional.
Cost to purchase a policy:  The cost to purchase a booking protect policy is a percentage of the total amount ranging from 8-12%. This is not an automatic application, but is recommended for customers by ACTIVE.
How does this benefit you, the customer? This will protect customers registration fees associated with the programs they registered for.  If they can’t make camp due to illness, injury travel related issues, and other approved reasons, they file a claim through Booking Protect and they can get their money back.

What is Active Advantage?

ACTIVE Advantage is a rewards program that allows registrants to sign-up for other programs, have access to discount travel rates through Trebeca or Expedia and purchase gear at discounted rates (the discount is absorbed by ACTIVE).  This is an ACTIVE membership and has no connection with the City of Nevada City and it's programs.  After the customer registers for a City program, they’re offered a trial membership to Active Advantage program. If they consent to enroll, they must cancel before the trial membership is over to avoid being charged the annual service fee.  If they do not enroll they are not charged.  

How to register for ACTIVE Advantage:  After registration for City programs is completed, registrants MUST check the accept box, add their e-mail and click the blue accept button to be added as a trial member.  It is not automatic.  
How to receive a refund:  Refunds are available at any time. If registrants no longer want their membership they can cancel by doing the following:
