Integrated Waste Management in Nevada City
The requirements for solid waste (garbage and recycling) related to residents and business are established in Chapter 8.12 "Solid Waste; Integrated Waste Management of the City of Nevada City Municipal Code as amended by the City Council in Ordinance 2022-11 which can be found HERE.
Waste and Recycling Pick-Up
The City of Nevada City contracts with Waste Management (WM) of Nevada County for waste and recycling/yard waste services for our residents and businesses. If you have questions about your waste or recycling services, please call Waste Management of Nevada County at (530) 274-3090. The Franchise Agreement between the City and WM can be found HERE.
Waste Management pick-up days for City residents are:
- Garbage pick-up is every Tuesday
- Recycling and yard waste pick-up on alternate Tuesdays (recycling will be picked up one week and yard waste the following week).
