Mission Statement

The Nevada City Parks & Recreation Mission is to provide a system of parks, trails, recreational facilities, programs and services that will enrich the lives of our citizens.

Parks, open space, trails, a swimming pool, summer programs, and recreational classes are among the programs and services that Nevada City offers through its Parks & Recreation Department. The Department employs one full- time employee year round and approximately 35 seasonal staff during the summer months.
