Housing Element
The State of California has declared that “…the availability of housing is of vital statewide importance and the early attainment of decent housing and a suitable living environment for every California family is a priority of the highest order.”  In addition, government and the private sector should cooperate to provide a full range of housing opportunities and accommodate regional housing needs.  At the same time, housing policy must recognize economic, environmental and fiscal factors and community goals within the general plan. The Current Housing Element was adopted January 2014 and will require updating in 2019.
