The City of Nevada City is seeking citizen's to be on the Measure M & Measure C Oversight Committee.   See attached “ Application for Oversight Committee - Measure M and C”.    The Committee meets two times per year to review revenue and expenditure of funds for local tax Measure C and M, described as follows:

Measure C

In Nov. 2016 voters approved ‘Measure C’, a 3/8” sales tax, exclusively for professional fire and police protection purposes, with all funds to be spent locally and subject to annual financial audits and independent citizen oversight.   See attached “ Resolution Establishing Measure C Oversight Committee”

Measure M

In Nov. 2020 voters approved ‘Measure M’, a 1/2” sales tax, exclusively for the purpose of improving and maintaining Nevada City's streets, sidewalks, pathways, drainage, water distribution and sewer collection systems, with all funds to be spent locally and subject to annual financial audits and independent citizen oversight.   See attached “ Resolution Establishing Measure M Oversight Committee”
