Summer Camp & Activities Fair The City is partnering with Parent's Resource Magazine to provide a Summer Camp Fair. The Fair is intended to give parents an opportunity to meet the directors and/or staff of local Camps and summer programs, so they can make an informed decision about what summer activities to choose for their child. More information will be available soon. Camp providers who are interested in having a booth at the event should call Nevada City Parks & Recreation at 530-265-2496 x129. Swimming Pool The swimming pool is scheduled to open June 2, 2012. Registration will begin in May. Details are available in the 2012 Summer Program Guide. Lifeguard Training is scheduled for April 2-6, 2012. The class is full and we are no longer accepting registrations for the class. If you have questions about the Lifeguard Training class, call the Parks & Recreation office at 530-265-2496 x129. A CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Oxygen Administration course is scheduled for May 12, 2012. Click on the link below for fees and details.
Pioneer Park Master Plan The Parks & Recreation and Planning Departments are in the process of creating a Master Plan for Pioneer Park. A Draft copy of the Plan will be presented at the March 15th, Planning Commission Meeting and then at the March 28th City Council meeting. The packets, which will include a copy of the Draft Pioneer Park Master Plan are generally posted online 2-3 days before the meeting. Click here to view Planning Commission packets.
