Anyone who owns a dog and lives in the incorporated area of Nevada City has to have a valid dog license. The dog license fee is $8 if the dog is not spayed/neutered and $4 if the dog is spayed/neutered.

Dog licenses are purchased at City Hall (317 Broad Street). You need to bring a current rabies certificate to get your license. Dog licenses are valid for 2 years. 

Dog’s found without a license will be impounded.
