Nevada City now accepts credit card payments. The credit card system is only for Utility payments. Other fees such as, traffic tickets, recreation registration and business licenses' must still be paid by check or cash. To pay your utility bill with a credit card, customers can call 1-800-2paytax (1-800-272-9829) or go online to www.officialpayments.com. You will be prompted to enter a jurisdiction code. This code is 7207. There is an additional fee when paying with your credit card. This is a charge from the processing company, not the City. Credit cards cannot be accepted at City Hall. If you will continue to pay your utility bill with cash or check, those payments can be mailed to or dropped off at City Hall (317 Broad St.). If you arrive after hours, please be sure to put your payment (checks only please) in the drop box that is outside the front doors of City Hall. Sliding payment under the front doors is not secure.
